FAQ

Q: How Much Will This Cost?

A: You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask us, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059. To receive a Good Faith Estimate from Bryan Counseling please use the contact form under the "Contact" tab and specifically ask for a Good Faith Estimate of Services.

Q: Do You Take Insurance?

A: Yes, we accept Medicaid and Aetna: At this time we can only accept Medicaid administered by Rocky Mountain Health Plans (RMHP) and Colorado Access. Aaron is able to accept Medicaid and Aetna insurance and currently has openings beginning 8/21/2023. Jonah is an in-network provider for Aetna and Medicaid, but at this time has limited availability for insurance based appointments. Sara is out-of-network provider for all insurers. If you would like to use your out of network benefits for counseling, please call your insurance company directly and ask about your "out of network coverage for a licensed professional counselor." They can explain your coverage. If it applies, we will gladly provide you with receipts to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

Q: How Long Is The First Appointment? What Do I Need To Bring? Should I Arrive Early?

A: Typical appointments are 50 minutes. Once you've contacted one of us and gotten an appointment scheduled we'll send you the "intake packet" via encrypted email. This can be completed online ahead of your first appointment.

Q: Will This Be Hard?

A: Well, it might be. Looking at our lives and examining who we are can be hard. It can be beautiful and redemptive and fun too. But, the reality is when we actually make a choice to look at things, sometimes the first feelings are hard. If you haven't read the "Our Approach" section we recommend you do so as a way to learn more about what to expect from counseling with us.
