IFS CONSULTATION

  • Support for Clinicians at Every Stage of Their IFS Journey

Whether you're just beginning to explore Internal Family Systems or are working toward certification, I offer individualized and group consultations designed to deepen your understanding and confidence in your IFS practice.

My consultation work is grounded in a deep focus on complex trauma, attachment, and therapy for therapists. These areas often bring forth richly layered systems, and I’m here to support you in navigating them with clarity and compassion.

You might be looking for help with:

Getting to know your own therapist parts and how they show up in session

Gaining confidence with the unburdening process

Deepening your work with highly protected or challenging internal systems

Building attunement and trust with clients with complex trauma histories

Exploring transference, countertransference, and the therapist’s internal system

Meeting certification requirements with structured, attuned guidance

We can work together on whatever you need — this is a space to ask questions, reflect, and grow both personally and professionally.

Group consultation offers the additional benefit of shared learning, multiple perspectives, and a supportive community of fellow IFS practitioners.

About Me

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who has been practicing since 2007, with a deep focus on complex trauma, attachment, and the inner experiences of therapists. I’ve been trained in Internal Family Systems through the IFS Institute since 2019 and am a Certified IFS Therapist and Approved IFS Clinical Consultant.

My approach to consultation is warm, grounded, and experiential. I hold space for the personal and professional parts of this work — because in IFS, how we show up matters just as much as what we do. Whether you're just starting or working toward certification, I’m here to support your growth with clarity, compassion, and curiosity.

What People Are Saying

  • "Working with Sara during my IFS certification process was such a meaningful part of my journey. She held space with so much warmth, acceptance, and genuine care, which made it easy for me to explore and process the parts that were showing up in me as I worked with my clients' systems. Our work together helped me deepen my understanding of both my clients and my own system and bring more self energy and ease to my client sessions. Her thoughtful insights—especially when it came to working with highly traumatized clients—were incredibly helpful and often just what I needed to hear. I always felt supported and seen in our work together, and her guidance was a big part of what helped me move confidently through certification. I'm truly grateful for the experience."

    -Anna H, Certified IFS Therapist

  • "Sara is a warm and empathic person and therapist with strong IFS knowledge. She has a comprehensive understanding of Complex Trauma, and consulting with her has been helpful and informative. I would strongly recommend Sara as a therapist or consultant for those looking for personal healing, or support in helping others to heal. I feel really positively impacted by the care Sara has provided when I have needed personal and professional support."

    -Danica H., Trauma Therapist

  • "I have had the incredible pleasure of working with Sara via group and individual IFS consultation for 2 years. She is one of the most skilled and heart centered complex trauma specialists I have ever encountered and her significant experience and skill allows her to be a clear and thoughtful consultant for other practitioners who work with complex trauma and IFS. I have had countless experiences where she brought to light aspects of challenges within my therapy work that I was struggling to see, which helped me deepen and expand my clinical skills in complex trauma recovery in ways I haven't experienced before. Sara is someone who "walks the walk", meaning she is dedicated to her own therapeutic work and personal growth and doesn't ask anything of her clients or consultees that she doesn't ask of herself. She has the unique ability of exuding expertise and facilitating trust in her while making you feel like an equal. Her authenticity, clarity, wisdom, humor and courage makes her a true gift to the world of complex trauma healing and the IFS community."

    -Alexis Ornellas, Certified IFS Therapist

  • "Sara is an exceptional person and therapist. I fully trust her to help me navigate the world. She bring tremendous insight and generosity to the counseling room and is one of the most thoughtful individuals I’ve ever met. Meaning, she works hard to understand and be thoughtful of other experiences. I do and have trusted my closest friends into her care."
